The painting presents a forest in the foreground where a farmer is intent on washing a cow in the river, in the background we find a rural landscape in the distance.
Made and signed lower right by the German artist Ivan Popec in 1971.
The work is in a good state of conservation, it has no structural defects but has a slight raising of the painting at the bottom right, as can be seen in the photo.
Naive art makes its appearance at the end of the 19th century, it is a type of artistic production with no ties to the present cultural and academic reality of the society in which it is produced.
It tends to represent the common aspects of daily life in a simple,
naive and instinctive way.
