Antique religious painting from the second half of the 17th century. First oil on canvas work depicting the Tribute of Coin. There was in fact a tax for the maintenance of the Temple in Jerusalem. When asked for the tribute, Jesus asks Peter to pay with a silver coin. Peter does not possess any coin and is therefore invited by his teacher to catch a fish in the lake. In his mouth he finds the silver coin and the miracle is fulfilled. Carved and gilded wooden frame from the 1800s, beautifully decorated, with some signs of time. Work that has undergone restoration with frame replacement and color repainting in places. Overall in fair state of preservation. Measurements without frame: 88 x 143 cm.
