Oil on oak panel. Flemish school of the 17th-18th century. The sacred representation depicts the moment of the birth of Jesus in a grotto, watched over and adored by Mary and Joseph together with four angels. The figures are well characterised and emphasised by vivid colours, while behind them the donkey and ox blend in with the chromatic uniformity of the grotto and the earth. On the right, in the background and in soft colours, blending into the background landscape is the scene of the annunciation to the shepherds. The painting is presented in a stylish frame.
