Piero Legrottaglie's hypomea table for Rimadesio, Italy, 1960s
Designed in the 1960s by Piero Legrottaglie for Rimdesio, the "hypomea" table is a clear example of innovation in Italian design. Characterized by an elegant oval glass top often, it is supported by a transparent plexiglas cylinder that rests on a chromed steel base.
One of its most distinctive characteristics is the integrated lighting system, consisting of three spotlights that illuminate the plexiglas structure, creating a sophisticated and suggestive effect. The electrical system has been completely overhauled to guarantee its perfect functionality.
The table measures 120 x 80 x 34 cm (LXWXH) and is in excellent condition, with only slight signs of the time that enhance its vintage character. A rare and collectible piece, ideal for modern and contemporary interiors of mid -century.
