Icon of Italian postmodern design, this emptysche/ashtray was conceived in the 80s by Luigi Serafini for the Memphis Extrà line. Handmade in Murano, it measures 25 × 20 × 2.5 cm and shows off the bold and distinctive palette of the movement: a "red curve" fluid, a intense blue drop and a playful black accent, all suspended inside a crystalline glass plate.
The free profile of the tray, with its gently wavy edge, integrates perfectly with the organic forms of the colored elements set. Expertly hot and melted worked, each graphic motif seems to float just below the surface, creating captivating shadows and depths when illuminated.
Under the glass, the signature "Luigi Serafini" engraved with acid and the "Memphis Extrà" brand attest to its authenticity.
