Description: This work is a neoclassical style painting and represents a historical/mythological scene set in ancient Rome. The scene is full of characters and architectural details with a theatrical composition typical of historical representations. At the center of the composition, a man in Roman clothes gives his hand to a young woman dressed in white and blue. This male character could represent Julius Caesar, a Roman emperor or a general, while the woman could be Cleopatra or another noble figure. The colors are with warm tones, dominated by the reds, golds and whites, with dramatic use of light. General conditions: good condition. Origin: Naples late 18th century. Measures: 55x65cm.
