As for the Italian Space Age, the Mician Gramigna and Sergio Mazza Miciana lamp is one of the most refined examples. It consists of a vertical cylinder with a disc at each end, all chromed, on which an opal sphere rests. Being the spatial era, the chromium does not stop here, but the upper part of the opal sphere is cut and a chromed concave mirror enters it with a partially chromed bulb. The result recalls a 1950 Studebaker or a reaction engine. However, this lamp from the ground seems ready to take off. Thanks to a two buttons switch, the bulbs inside the opal and the light bulb at the top can be operated independently.
