Architectural whim, Venetian School painting, 18th century
Refined Italian landscape of the second half of the eighteenth century. Oil picture on canvas depicting a splendid view with ancient ruins and figures in Venetian clothes, of considerable pictorial quality and full of meticulous details. The work clearly fits into the tradition of the eighteenth-century Venetian architectural whim and the label on the back offers the name of Antonio Visentini (1688-1782), a well-known seer and engraver (the painting is not currently accompanied by Expertise, but it is possible to request it upon payment of the related additional costs). Spectacular frame of the twentieth century in carved and golden wood, with some signs of time. Painted already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in small points. Overall in good conservative state. Painted light H 53 x L 44.5 cm.
