This set is made up of four chairs that perfectly embody the glamorous and luxurious spirit of the seventies, with a particular reference to the taste of the time for exotic materials and brilliant finishes.
The structure is entirely in polished brass, skillfully worked to simulate the segmentation and shape of the bamboo cane, a very popular detail in that decade. The high backrest is the most distinctive feature, characterized by a pointed arch or "Gothic window" shape, adding a touch of theatricality and sophistication to the design, often associated with high-end Italian production of the period.
The seat and backrest are richly covered in textured velvet with a pattern of stylized plant motifs. The color palette moves between a deep chocolate brown for the seat and a lighter shade, almost pink or mauve, for the backrest. The thin, curved legs complete the silhouette, maintaining the bamboo texture.
It is an ensemble which, thanks to the combination of brass, velvet and scenographic shapes, is a magnificent and well-preserved example of Italian furniture design from the 1970s.
Excellent condition of the fabric, light signs of aging on the brass.
