“Simris” table lamp with chromed metal structure, leather-covered base, sliding trolley with adjustment knob, design 1964.
An icon of 60s/70s Scandinavian light, the “Simris” by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan combines technical precision and visual lightness. The low base covered in leather (cognac tone with stitching), the double upright in chromed metal and the sliding arm with ivory-coloured circular knob define fluid and clean ergonomics. The lacquered cylindrical head rotates and tilts; the diffuser with concentric blades (louvre) softens the beam, reducing glare, a stylistic feature of Pehrson lamps.
Normal signs of aging; light abrasions and small traces of use on the lacquered head, small stains on the leather of the base; working electrical system.
Good condition. It may show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
