Oil on panel. Spanish School, 17th century. The gaze of this young girl is intense and penetrating. She is portrayed half-length in a delicate pink dress embellished with a lace collar, but her hair is held back by a bright, flowing red cap, lending a mischievous touch to the portrait. On the back is an old pencil attribution to Jacopo Chimenti, known as Empoli. The painting is presented in an antique, regilded frame.
