This is an iconic Aalto vase (also known as Savoy vase), a masterpiece of Finnish design created by Alvar Aalto for the Iittala brand. The object stands out for its famous organic and asymmetric shape which recalls the profile of Finnish lakes, made of mouth-blown glass in a refined, very dark, almost black, cobalt blue shade.
