Small open desk in bois de rose, made in France at the beginning of the 20th century, characterized by an elegant ovoid structure. The surface is enriched with still life inlays in various essences, which give a refined decorative effect. The splashback has two side doors and a central drawer surmounted by an open compartment, completed by a perforated bronze balustrade which adds a touch of classicism. The lower part is equipped with a drawer in the band under the top, supported by four truncated pyramid legs, connected by a shelf also inlaid. The worked and gilded bronze applications, including the vents, knobs and shoes, further enrich the aesthetics of the furniture. The oak interiors guarantee solidity and durability over time, making this piece a perfect example of period craftsmanship.
