Item description
Decorative pair of figurines depicting pastoral/devotional shepherd children in reclining poses, richly modelled with textured foliage bases, grape clusters and botanical motifs. The figures are finished in a warm terracotta-toned patina with darker shading in the recesses, enhancing the relief and giving an aged, antique character. Based on the modelling, patinated surface and overall character, these pieces are presented as 19th century style and may date to the 1800s precise dating and place of manufacture cannot be confirmed without further examination.
