Item description

Ancient Italian painting from the second half of the 18th century. Oil on canvas work depicting a religious subject, Madonna with child, of good pictorial quality. Painting of beautiful size and proportion, characterized by a dark background which enhances the colors of the Madonna's robes and the complexions of the two characters. Mary's hands are very well painted, the painter is good at depicting the baby Jesus with his gaze turned towards the viewer. Note the elegant curtain in the upper part of the painting which embellishes the composition. Work that has already undergone conservative restoration with color recovery in some places, relining and replacement of the frame. Overall painting in good condition.
