Fine set of four original etchings by the famous Dutch artist Johannes Glauber (1646–1726), better known by the pseudonym Polidoro.
Glauber, a leading figure of the golden age of Dutch painting, is famous for his "Italianizing" landscapes inspired by the Roman countryside and the style of Gaspard Dughet and Nicolas Poussin. These works perfectly capture the Arcadian aesthetic of the 17th century, characterized by classical ruins, serene rivers and human figures harmoniously integrated into nature.
