Elegant chest of drawers with 5 drawers or Chiffonier, of good size, in Louis XVI style, built around the mid-19th century. Of French manufacture, it is made of mahogany wood, partly solid and partly veneered, such as, for example, the drawer fronts, which are in fine mouchetè mahogany; the interiors are in Slavonian oak. The support surface is in "grigio sant'Anna" marble and is worked on the edges with the classic grooves of the Louis XVI style. On the 5 large drawers, created without a lock, there are 10 beautiful bronze handles. The facade uprights have grooves on both sides. The piece of furniture rests on four truncated pyramid legs which end with four bronze tips. The state of conservation is excellent, with the normal signs of wear over time. The furniture is healthy, the marble intact and the bronzes are all present. The sliding of the drawers is excellent. Nicely sized chest of drawers with a sobriety and elegance typical of this style, thanks to these characteristics it can be easily placed in various environments.
