Documented piece, with original manufacturer's label applied to the back of the piano: "ottolini — METALLIC FURNITURE — BUSTO ARSIZIO". A testimony to the small Lombard industry after the Second World War, which translated the Bauhaus language into solid and functional objects for offices, schools and professional studios.
The structure is in bent chromed tubular steel, with the characteristic sled shape. The top is covered in green formica - the most used color in office desks of the time to reduce visual fatigue - with a wooden perimeter edge. On the right side a chest of four drawers in solid wood with chrome crescent handles; on the left side a folding surface which expands the work surface by a further 30 cm in width.
Condition consistent with age and use, with the patina of a lived-in object.
