This sideboard produced by Jentique Furniture in the 1960s very clearly interprets the language of Mid-Century British design, where functionality and formal rigor combine with a strong attention to the quality of the wood. The teak structure defines a warm and continuous presence, characterized by linear veins and deep shades that react to light in a soft and natural way. The horizontal composition maintains a very orderly visual balance, in which the rhythm of the surfaces and openings builds the character of the furniture without resorting to superfluous decorative elements. The proportions are well calibrated and contribute to a general perception of lightness, despite the storage capacity typical of this type of furniture. A piece that fits naturally into contemporary, modernist or more classic interiors, bringing with it that functional and material sobriety typical of English production of the 1960s.
