Oil on canvas.
The wide landscape frames the glimpse of a plain rich in vegetation at the foot of rocky reliefs; a river flows through it with cascading but navigable passages.
On the left there is a path that descends from the arched passage between two buildings on the hill behind; Two men in oriental clothes are passing over it, carrying an enormous branch of a berry fruit with a stick.
The scene is depicted at sunset, with pink shades of the sky radiating onto the mountain peaks.
The painting has been restored and relined in the past.
It is presented in a gilded frame from the early 1900s.
