The Shepherd of the Neapolitan Nativity Scene is a true icon of Neapolitan artistic craftsmanship, with deep roots in 18th-century tradition. Its head, finely modeled in polychrome terracotta, captures unique expressive details. The clothes she wears are custom-sewn, made with period fabrics that faithfully recall the style of the working classes, from farmers to merchants of Naples between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
