An imposing and very rare ceremonial throne or armchair, carved and gilded in wood, characterised by Baroque elements. It stands out for its magnificent 170 cm high backrest and red damask cladding. Dating back to the second half of the 19th century and made in neo-Baroque style, the upper part of the backrest features a central female face carved in relief, surrounded by floral garlands and hand-carved gold details. The wide curved armrests are decorated with tracery and end with pronounced volutes that curve outwards. The seat rests on convertible legs joined in the center by a striking decorative X-shaped crosspiece. Dimensions: H 170 cm, W 92 cm, D 85 cm. Excellent condition; ready for immediate installation.
