A refined and rare rectangular high-relief ceramic plaque from the 1950s, depicting the Virgin Mary in prayer. The work was handcrafted by the renowned avant-garde San Polo factory in Venice, based on a design by master sculptor and painter Otello Rosa (1920-2007). The piece stands out for its strong plasticity and splendid, thick polychrome work. The shiny robe and cloak feature intense shades of blue and turquoise, while the edge and large halo are finished with precious pure gold details, masterfully applied using the triple firing technique (third firing).
