A complete set of six Compass Chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen, among the most recognizable Danish designs of the mid-20th century. Their most distinctive feature lies in their structure: the rear legs spread slightly outward, creating the dynamic geometry that gave the model its name. Made of rosewood, the chairs feature a clean, carefully proportioned design. The wooden frame remains the focal point, while the padded seat and backrest add a softer, cozier touch. The slightly contoured backrest fits between the side posts, creating an almost suspended effect and contributing to the overall sense of lightness. The six-piece set is particularly well-suited for a large dining table, where the repetition of the design allows Kristiansen's work to be fully appreciated. Rosewood adds depth to the design through its natural grain and hues, without weighing down the silhouette. The upholstery needs to be redone: the chairs will therefore be customized with a new fabric chosen from the available options, while retaining the original frame.
