Pair of modernist sculptures in green patinated clay, made in France in the 1970s. This pair of sculptures depicts two seated female figures with free and expressive forms. Made of textured clay with a green patina reminiscent of oxidized bronze, they exude a raw and poetic aesthetic typical of 1970s modernist sculpture. The deliberately irregular surface finish highlights the artist's hand and lends considerable character to these decorative pieces. The elongated and contemplative silhouettes create an elegant and timeless sculptural presence. Perfect for display on a bookshelf, console table, or desk, these sculptures integrate seamlessly into contemporary, brutalist, or bohemian interiors.
