This 1970s Italian Murano glass ashtray/empty-pocket bowl features a compact, sculptural shape and a deep, softly contoured central cavity. The clear glass body is crisscrossed by dense white streaks and inclusions, creating a dynamic textural effect and enhancing the thickness of the glass through a play of light and transparency.
The circular shape, visual weight, and strong sculptural presence recall the decorative Murano glass objects produced in the 1970s. This piece, crafted in the Mazzega style, combines practicality with a decidedly sculptural character.
Originally conceived as an ashtray, it can also be used as a pocket emptier, a small decorative bowl, or a small decorative bowl.
Dimensions: diameter 20 cm, height 6 cm.
