6 Cab Chairs by Mario Bellini for Cassina
"A new kind of chair, all in leather, today very cloned". This is how Mario Bellini describes the Cab chair/armchair produced by Cassina, a best-seller created during the golden age of Italian design. Cab is the first chair in the world to feature a self-supporting leather structure inspired by the relationship between skeleton and leather. Its upholstery is made up of 21 leather parts, die-cut one by one and then subjected to 22 manual processes. The upholstery is then fitted onto a steel skeleton and zipped up like a tailor-made suit. Complete set of six chairs in the rare ivory colour. The preservation conditions are really very good since the chairs have only been used for a short time. In fact, only slight signs of age are present.
