Item description

These shell-shaped lounge chairs are an interesting example of mid-century Czechoslovakian furniture design. They were designed by Miroslav Navratil or František Jirák. They are associated with the Brussels Period and the famous EXPO 58. The chairs have a laminated construction and wooden legs. One upholstery is in its original condition and shows signs of age and use (faded surfaces and several upholstery defects). If interested, we can supply new upholstery. The price is for the pair. Seat height: 39 cm
