Patinated bronze sculpture resting on a green alps marble base entitled "Colpo di Vento". The work depicts a half-length female profile with her hair blowing in the wind. Under the arm is the signature V.Cinque. Background: Cinque Vincenzo (Naples, 1852 - Naples, 1929) A Neapolitan sculptor, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. Of classical implantation and always close to realism, he produced many popular subjects in bronze. He is one of the fathers of 19th-century Neapolitan sculpture that made history in the world, and is now sold at auctions all over the world. Nu sculptor of classical implantation, he specialised in the production of bronze sculptures of piccirilli busts depicting popular subjects and 'scugnizzi', if he always kept close to realism.
