Italian painting from the 17th century. Fascinating oil on canvas painting depicting Christ handing the keys to St. Peter. A painting of remarkable pictorial quality, note the use of white and the naturalism with which the painter has depicted the Saint, particularly the hands. Noteworthy is the play of light and shadow, a typical element of Baroque painting. Scenic, non-coeval carved and gilded wooden frame with festoons, shells and fruit, of beautiful decoration and impact, with some signs of time. Work that has undergone restoration with re-staining and repainting in small places, overall in excellent state of preservation. Light painting H 110 x W 90 cm.
