Item description
Pair of solid French Empire mahogany armchairs with finely chiseled gilt bronze applications. They feature a back adorned with gilt bronze plaques depicting allegorical scenes. The seat is connected to the backrest by two curved arms ending in a beautiful carving. The feet are saber-shaped typical of the period it belongs to. Upholstery and upholstery redone from scratch using antique method. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 19th century France. Measurements: 60x45 H93cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
