Measures 73 x 54 cm, signed in paste on the base. Beppe Serafini was born in the hamlet of Torre in the municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino on 20 October 1915. Serafini's paintings depict both the poverty he lived and the trades he always practised in his world. Oxen and doves, animals in general, men and women, rough hands and wide-open eyes, are permeated by an atmosphere that expresses all the author's mildness. Milan, Viareggio, Bologna, Frankfurt, Siena and Nice are just some of the cities that have hosted exhibitions of his works.
