Item description

Watercolor on paper depicting the springs of Boario Terme, circa 1920s-30s. Signed A. C. Leveque on lower right; title on back. The foreshortened view of the well-known spa resort is depicted intensely animated by the colorful crowd strolling in the avenues in front of the spa's landmark building, the white marble Art Nouveau dome, which extends on either side into the balcony supported by columns with Ionic capitals. The work is presented in a coeval frame. Size without frame: 40 x 30 cm.
