Plays of shadows, light, architectural elements, arches, windows, balconies, small votive aedicules, stairways and, to embellish the story, wayfarers, old people, stalls, tents and small glimpses of blue sky, all described with great attention to detail with accents of bright colours, such as the little girl, standing observing in the centre of the composition wearing a light blue dress.
