Giovanni Balansino, L'Olona, oil on faesite
PLATINUM Seller in Milano, Italy
Giovanni Balansino, L'Olona, Oil on faesite, 20th century. Signed at lower right. On the back further signature and title. Balansino, piedmontese by origin but Lombard by adoption, chose to depict with his painting made of broad, nervous brushstrokes his love for both lands, dedicating much of his production to them. In the proposed painting, he presents a glimpse of the Olona River, a waterway entirely in Lombardy, as it flows through the hamlets of the Lombard plain. The work is presented in a frame.
