Indian ink on paper. Signed lower right. Accompanied by an authentication on a photograph by his wife Matilde Sironi dated September 1963 and a certificate on a photograph from the J.A. PF. archive with number 031 and details of the work. Mario Sironi devoted much time to drawing and figure studies, and his production includes many drawings, figure studies and sketches for later paintings. All the power and expressive force of Sironi's bodies can already be seen in these drawings. His mind, an incessant forge of ideas and projects that were often realised on a large scale (he created numerous murals), often made use of makeshift paper supports, even small ones, on which he drew large projects, provocative ideas and poetic images in just a few centimetres. The work comes from an important private collection in Milan. It is presented in a frame.
