Item description
Pair of French Napoleon III flambeaux in gilded bronze skilfully chiselled and statuary white marble belonging to the second half of the 19th century. The central stem is characterised by a dense chiselling of floral motifs alternating with racemes and terminating in nine posy arms. The circular base is embellished with bronze elements and rests on pad feet of the same material. The upper part is embellished with a central curtain element terminating in a flower, also in gilded bronze. Provenance: 19th century France. Diameter 35 cm, height 70 cm.
