Louis Philippe mirror in gilded and carved wood, Naples, '800
Description: Neapolitan Louis Philippe mirror from the first half of the 19th century, entirely sculpted, carved and gilded with gold leaf. The mirror looks like a triumph of carved wood with a movement that develops from bottom to top where it is possible to appreciate all its finesse. The cymatium is a succession of rocaille scrolls. Two feet having a roccailles motif contribute to the elegance and refinement of this splendid object. The mirror is made of mercury salt glass and is contemporary with the wooden frame.
