Murano glass chandelier by Gino Poli, Italy, 70s

Large suspension lamp in pulley and lattimo of Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sotis Murano, Italy, 70s This extraordinary suspension lamp, made in the 70s by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sotis Murano, represents a perfect fusion between material experimentation and artisan skill of the Muranese glass. The large spread diffuser is hand blown in transparent glass with the use of "pullegous" technique, which gives the surface a vibrant texture and a unique visual effect: thousands of small air bubbles, intentionally incorporate into the glass during the processing, soften the light and give it a velvety and widespread aesthetic. A contrast, a continuous band in white glass "lattimo" travels horizontally the cap, adding a refined graphic touch. The "lattimo" is obtained through a particular glassy composition enriched by microcrystals, which give the material an opaque and milk appearance, capable of capturing light with elegance. Rare and scenographic piece, exemplary of the excellence of the Muranese 70s design, ideal for modern, vintage or eclectic environments that want a light point of strong personality. Conditions: Excellent vintage condition with slight signs of time, consistent with age.
