Item description

Splendid Italian picture of the eighteenth century. Oil painted on canvas depicting a wonderful Madonna and sleeping child, of considerable pictorial quality. For the delicacy of the Carnagioni, the calibrated use of chiaroscuro and the presence of refined cherubini the work is placed in the wake of the Rococo pictorial tradition. The composition with a pyramidal scheme shows a great sensitivity in the surrender of expressions and in the care of the drapery. Scenographic frame of the XIX in finely carved and golden wood, with some small shortcomings and retouches of non -original golden. Picture already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in small points. Overall in good conservative state. Painted light H 75 x L 63 cm.
