Rococo painting Putti's game, 18th century
Wonderful 18th century Italian painting. Oil work on canvas depicting a splendid idyllic landscape with bare putti playing. One of them proudly shows a nest full of birds and with a theatrical gesture he removes another child. The composition is calibrated with wisdom, the soft light and the chiaroscuro technique enhances the pink carnations. Each element reveals the expert hand of a Rococo artist and recalls the models of the great painter Vittorio Amedeo Rapous (1729-1819). Active especially in Piedmont at the Sabauda court is influenced by French painting and is known above all for its decorative and allegorical production with childhood scenes and deathbish (the painting is not currently accompanied by Expertise, but it is possible to request it upon payment of the related additional costs). Golden wooden frame in golden wood, of beautiful decoration, with some signs of time. Painted already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in small points, overall in good conservative state. Ideal for embellishing a classic living room, an elegant bedroom or a modern study this work can also shine in contemporary environments by creating a refined game of contrasts. The picture is part of a pendant (see photos and request the price of the diptych if still available). This pair of paintings, still united, is a rare opportunity in the antiquarian market. Painted light h 67 x l 99 cm.
