Pair of large French-made silver metal candlesticks produced by Christofle silverware.
The base of the Baroque style candlesticks is made of silvered metal using the historic galvanic process invented by Charles Christofle in the 1940s.
On the base we find the "Christofle france" brand accompanied by the identification mark of the silver metals of the factory, the oval with the initials CC flanked by a scale surmounted by 4 stars which was used starting from 1935.
Next to it we find another stamp with the initials IOC flanked by a pawn horse which was used starting from 1984.
The candlesticks therefore date back to the 80s/90s of the 20th century.
The lampshades that fit into the silver base are made of tulip-shaped crystal.
The "Christofle cristal" brand is shown on the crystal, the crystal is not directly produced by the Christofle company but the production is entrusted to external companies and craftsmen, in the same model of candlesticks produced in the 70s/80s there is the Baccarat crystal brand, probably the manufacturer remains the same even in the subsequent productions of the 80s/90s while the imprinted brand changes.
The two candlesticks for sale are in perfect condition, only a very slight scratch on the tip of one of the two lampshades, clearly visible in the photos, should be noted.
