SILVER Seller in Prato, Italy
Pair of Art Deco vases in polished black opaline glass (the black color in the opaline glass is the most difficult to obtain, because, unlike other colors, opacifying substances must be balanced with glass in an absolutely perfect way). They are hand painted in pure gold with rural scenes, fawns, trees, and geometric decorations typical of the Art Deco. On the body of the vases a sober Pompeian red color was used. Exceptional manufacture, extraordinary quality, and unique design. France, 1930.
