We are pleased to present this early 20th century oil on panel painting. This splendid coastal landscape of Naples is signed lower right: U. Allason. It is probably the work of the Italian painter Ugo Allason (Turin, 1 November 1844 - Turin, 21 November 1920), without authentication.
This small painting captures the charm of the Italian coast in the city of Naples. The imposing silhouette of Castel dell'Ovo rising from the sea is clearly visible. This splendid view of the Gulf of Naples was a much loved subject among Italian landscape artists of this period.
