Within a frame made of carved wood and lacquered with a green background for a total of cm. 87×76 The work depicts the Virgin Mary in the moment of mystical ecstasy, with her gaze turned to heaven in an attitude of prayer and adoration. The Madonna wears the traditional blue cloak that frames her head, while her hands are crossed over her chest in a gesture of humble acceptance. The golden halo underlines the sacredness of the character. The composition, extremely essential, focuses all attention on the spiritual expression of the face. This work is a faithful replica of Guido Reni's famous prototype.
