“Øresund” model sideboard designed by Børge Mogensen for Andersson & Söner and produced between the late fifties and early sixties. The oak case precisely frames the teak fronts, enhancing their warm and compact grain. The eight drawers with turned solid wood knobs express Mogensen's functional aesthetic, based on proportion, solidity and artisanal quality. The “Øresund” series represents one of the most successful examples of his democratic approach to design, today highly appreciated in the collectors' field for its formal balance and material authenticity.
