We are pleased to present this oil on panel painting from the early twentieth century. This splendid view of the Gulf of Naples is signed lower right: R. Leone. It is probably the work of the Italian painter Leone Romolo (Naples, 1883-Naples 1958), lacking authenticity.
This small painting captures the charm of the Italian coast in the city of Naples. The imposing silhouette of Castel dell'Ovo rising from the sea is clearly visible on the left, while the imposing Vesuvius can be seen in the background. The real protagonists of this painting are the fishermen and their boats in the foreground. The painting is characterized by decisive and material brushstrokes that highlight the artist's artistic qualities. The artist captures in a very personal way the atmosphere of the gulf that meets the daily life activities related to the sea. If you know Naples and its gulf, you will be fascinated by this painting, so much so that you will feel transported by the scents and sounds of the sea and its fishermen.
A wonderful painting that will enchant your guests!
The painting is presented in a lacquered wooden frame.
