Italian painting Saint Jerome, 17th century
Ancient Italian painting from the end of the 17th century. Oil on canvas work (glued onto masonite undergoing restoration), depicting a religious subject, Saint Jerome, of good pictorial quality. Painting of beautiful size and impact adorned with a non-coeval frame, in wood and plaster, sculpted and gilded. Work that develops vertically, of good proportions, easily inserted in different parts of the house. Painting that was previously attributed to the Tuscan painter Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani (1660 - 1731), lacking expertise.
