Very rare enormous Venetian bed from the period between the end of the 19th century and the very beginning of the 20th century, lacquered in that beautiful classic Venetian green and gilded with gold leaf on the edges, on the volutes and on the friezes. On the lacquering there are also numerous very fine and excellent quality colored floral motifs, hand painted. The rarity consists in the fact that a pair of beds with footboards (each 100cm wide and 70cm high) are attached to an enormous headboard (236cm wide and 148cm high) which are, if desired: - Attached, creating a double bed with space on the sides for any bedside tables. -Detached, creating a pair of single beds with a place in the center for a possible bedside table. Obviously there are four attacks on the header, for this reason. There are therefore four bars: -the two external ones lacquered, gilded and painted like the bed -the two internal ones, simpler, only lacquered. Length of the bars = 196 cm which brings the max length of the bed to 205cm. about. This enormous and elegant bed, of beautiful workmanship and of great rarity, can, if desired, be used, as is fashionable today, as three headboards of three different beds. It should be noted that the two footboards have a very beautiful and important workmanship on the four support feet. The internal panels of the headboard and the two footboards are padded with green damask fabric. The state of conservation is very good given the age, there are no breakages and the lacquering, gilding and paintings have never been restored, all in their original patina. The fabric, although it has no tears or particular wear, must be cleaned or possibly replaced. Present the normal small signs of use due to age. The detailed photos are authentic.
