A beautiful pair of iconic Kilta armchairs, designed by renowned Finnish designer Olli Mannermaa in 1955 and then produced and distributed in Italy by Cassina (originally known as Figli di Amedeo Cassina) in the 1960s and 1970s.
The enveloping shell is padded and entirely upholstered in black leather, with the distinctive opening in the backrest designed to lighten the silhouette and improve ergonomics.
The shell rests on four slender legs in black lacquered tubular metal with classic polished metal tips.
In addition to being beautiful, they are also very comfortable and, thanks to the 46cm seat height, can be used both as dining chairs and desk chairs as well as lounge chairs.
These chairs are in very good condition, considering that the upholstery is original, with no cuts or tears, and the inevitable signs of use. The lacquer finish on the black tubular frame is perfect, the polished metal end caps are all original, as are the original brass screws that attach them to the frame. The numerous photos are an integral part of the decoration and the state of wear and tear.
